For Your Information...Molds

There are two common materials used for creating molds.  We will be happy to discuss the proper choice for your job.

Regular Rubber Mold
The standard choice for molds.  Natural rubber is strong, long-lasting and very good for mass production pieces.  Rubber cures at a temperature of approximately 350 degrees F and is only suitable for original models that can withstand heat.  Typically there is 3% to 5% shrinkage on average.

RTV (Room Temperature) Silicone Mold
This material is used for original models that cannot withstand heat or on waxes taken of the original.  A minimum cure time of 24 hours is required.  No shrinkage & finer product with more detail.

Computer Generated Metal Molds
Ideal method for corporate logos, rings, cufflinks etc.  High definition using plastic wax.
